September 24, 2014, 6:09 am Nationwide and National Advice Bureau claiming that I was in a car accident in the last 2 years and they had a compensation package available to me. I don't own a car so this is clearly a cold cold off a list. May be a phishing scam. When I hung up they called back 5 minutes later with a different person. September 26, 2014, 5:59 pm Just been called by Nationwide Accident Trust Jessica Ryan, American accent saying some one recorded at "this" address (i was on a mobile) has had an accident in past two years. Sounded like a recorded system. I didn't respond to question to confirm her statement and she didn't react, so think it was recorded. I asked twice firmly for my number to be removed from their database and all I got a was a laugh and the woman hung up. Definitely a scammer/marketeer. October 4, 2014, 7:32 pm It's been many months since I had the first of these phone calls. In the past, told them the info was wrong. Asked where they got the info from. Told them to remove my name and never call back. Calls ceased for a several weeks. Came home this evening to find a call on my answering machine from Jessica Ryan claiming "someone at this address has had a car accident in the last two years". Same as everyone else. Same script each time just a different name. Sometimes Asian sounding but this was definitely an American accent. Really really REALLY annoying. October 9, 2014, 6:10 pm Got the call at an awkward moment and it seemed like a "silent" call - the third I had had today. Just as I suggested that they go away in a certain manner I heard a female voice start to talk, but the receiver was down by the time the realisation dawned. Did a 1471 and got this number - then wondered if it were a genuine call and I had offended someone! Actually pleased that it is a scam-line. October 12, 2014, 6:14 pm Received this same call several times over past couple of months, usually from nationwide but latest(Oct 11, 4.00pm) from National Advice Bureau.Attempts to obtain caller and supervisor information futile as voice just kept talking, presumably recorded,so put phone down.An obvious scam. October 13, 2014, 11:58 am Same Jessica Ryan calling about car accident information as everyone else on this site. Her voice was automated, so she was unable to respond properly to replies. I told her my cat had had the accident and she was unable to understand that; I had to repeat it three times. When she asked me about the vehicle and I replied "What car" she hung up. Told her my husband had been killed in this accident! She asked when it took place,I told her 18 months ago. I must confess not true, my husband is still very much alive (well at 72, just about)Phone went dead (sorry for the pun) very quickly. Few minutes later another person called saying we had been cut off. He claimed to be from the RTA (Road Traffic Accident) and said yes when asked if that was a government department. Obviously sham call; he kept asking for details of mythical accident in the past 2 years. Have had several similar calls - sometimes Nationwide something or other. Same script. October 15, 2014, 3:53 pm I want the address so i can go around and rip the computer out by its wires and smash it up. This has happened about 6 times now getting sick of it and because a i refuse to answer the phone to this number they are now leaving text voice messages on my phone. the number is 01234-945006 do not give them any details as i don't have a car or have ever had one in 42 yr of being on the planet. i am now taking action to block this number via BT as a scammer. October 15, 2014, 4:03 pm As for others here, this number has called multiple times during the last 2-3 months, mostly unanswered. Kept them talking for 13 minutes whilst agreeing with their statements. Two interrogators were involved, each reading from the same script. I demanded my number being removed from their database (I am TPS registered and have now complained twice) which the last interrogator stated would happen after they sent me the 'documents' for my £2000 claim for the non-accident. As soon as the line closed another call came from CLS-LAW.co.uk (genuine firm) to finalise my claim. I told the caller they are being scammed by a fraudulent operation, registered to a certain Majid Qazi, resident of 5A Mansfield Road, Ilford. Caller stated he would take matter to his management. Nationwide Advice Bureau is currently subject to a 'Proposal to Strike Off' as of 08-Oct-2014. Caller Company: Nationwide Advice Bureau Caller Type: Scammer

There are two big centres I know about, one is Pells & Bales that deal with charity work and the other is GoGen, both within Bedford area. The caller, although pretending to be a girl called Jessica Ryan, was clearly a sophisticated computer programme able to parse simple reponses and respond accordingly. A few questions, including "are you a computer?" (response: no) and "are you a human being?" (response: terminate call) soon made this clear. October 17, 2014, 1:16 pm Had the same call for two days in a row now, an English female voice calling herself Jessica Ryan and claiming to be calling from the UK Advice Bureau stating that I have had a car accident in the last few years. Despite asking them to stop calling, they take no notice. I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service and despite continuously reporting about it (they have calling me now for 3 months), nothing is being done about it! October 20, 2014, 5:09 pm My 84 year old mother receives these nuisance calls, she either lets them talk while she places the receiver on the table and wanders off..or gets very rude with them! October 20, 2014, 6:45 pm Get the call two or three times a week: its justy "Hello?" fishing for a call-back if it reaches the answer machines, or the full Jessica Ryan soundboard if I answer. Last week i had some fun playing along with the potted responses an then dropping in "What is the capital of France?" which provoked "Sorry, we'll add you to the do not call list". When they called today, I opened with "if there is a human operating the soundboard, press the I'M SORRY? button" and they hung up. Caller Company: None given this time Caller Type: Scammer

"She" does seem to have quite a good voice recognition capability - quite a long "chat" last time "she" called! This company (or similar) has persisted with calls regarding a previous traffic accident - attempt to persuade an illegal claim for personal injury. They know my registration plate and obviously my mobile number. Say i had an accident three months ago which i did not. have never been in one. who is passing details on to these people?
