May 24, 2017, 11:58 am Guy called and spoke to my wife. Wanted her to log on to computer. She told him to get lost and hung up. Cheeky git rang back and wanted to know why she told him to get lost. I wasn't so polite with him. At which point he threatened me. Caller Type: Scammer

These type of callers always ring on the hour.... and if it's the microsoft one they can never confirm which is the 'main' pc /laptop. Poor people having to work for such con artists. He was not even deterred when I threatened to report them to the police! It's a disgrace when your number is registered to not receive sales calls. June 2, 2017, 2:14 pm Twice this number has called, once at 8.30 in the morning. They say they are from "Windows Technical Dept". Its a scam. June 23, 2017, 12:00 pm 01484 863114 called me purporting to let me know there was a problem with my Windows computer (.I don't have one!). It had a dangerous virus. I'm registered with TPS so I asked who was ringing and the foreign sounding man shouted 'Do you have a Windows computer? a laptop?'. He was very insistent and quite aggressive. I said that it was standard procedure to ring any company back to verify that they were genuine, and that I would do that from a different phone. I was given the number 0203 6300 338 and told to ask for '.Austin Smith'. I dialled from my mobile and got through to the same man, whereupon I put the phone down. He then rang me back on my landline, using a withheld number but I just put the phone down again. Definitely scammers. Not ringing from Huddersfield or London. July 5, 2017, 10:38 am I've just received one of these calls. I work in IT security and so had a good listen to what he was saying - defo a scam. Wanted me to log on and run through some security reports. I told him I worked in IT security and was aware of all these scams. This did not put him off. He was very persistent. He then rang back and left a long message asking me to call him and basically told me he could get onto my computer and stop it working (ha ha)!. I ignored it and recorded it. He then rang again. I answered and told him to "go away" or similar. He then rang and left another message. Ignore these calls and do not give them the time of day - scammers.
