November 23, 2014, 10:01 am This company called me this evening. They said they were conducting a survey for Sport England, but 30 seconds after confirming my telephone number, which they obviously had in any case, I had an international telephone call, which talked about problems with my computer. A colleague at work had had a similar call a few months ago and then she had responded to the call by logging on and going to their website, which then led to them asking for remote access to her computer!!! Muttered something about computer. .I said what about it and who are you .she said she belives that she is talking to the main user of the computer ( me) then slamed the phone down . June 27, 2015, 11:17 am This number is repeatly calling us. We have Caller ID and are registered with the TPS. Doesn't seem to stop them. We don't answer. Bloody nuisance. It's all days, all times, even nine o'clock at night. Something has seriously got to be done about this. The TPS and the ICO don't have the teeth to deal with the problem. June 27, 2015, 2:50 pm I entered a daily Mail competition last week - on the application form it requested a contact number "in case you are a winner and we need to contact you"... Then this number ( 020-8433-4479) left a message saying I should ring THEM back. So I'm guessing the Daily Mail are selling off all the entrants number for cash!
