February 13, 2015, 9:13 am Strange calls fro Orange/EE about needing a password / pin number in order to verify me before discussing the real issue at hand. I absolutely refused to do that as I am not stupid about giving out personal details to people I can't confirm myself. I an suspecting this line to be a scammer. I've read stories about people who have tried to get upgrades recently getting calls from this number as well. March 8, 2015, 12:40 pm Caller said he was the "floor manager" of orange and wanted to tell me to in the future to deal with problems to dial 980 instead of 150 to get through to them quicker. When I called them back later I was told by another person that that information was not true and to go back to using 150. So this is a very odd call indeed. Not sure if it can be trusted. March 31, 2015, 11:56 am I have had repeated phonecalls from this number as many as 10 a day, also at weekends. If you answer they hang up or just play music. On the 2 occasions that I have spoken to them they have tried to ask me about pensions and once became aggressive when I asked questions as to who they are. September 24, 2015, 11:38 am This appears to be from Orange or now properly named as EE since EE bought Orange and merged. You may get various types of calls from this number. Some technical, some with offers. Some people have reported getting these calls as soon as they signed up to EE. They may tell you to call 980 now instead of the old orange #. October 6, 2015, 1:27 am A person called me on the number claiming to be a manager from Orange/EE. They refused to tell me the purpose to the call unless I verified who I was with my password. I unthinkingly gave them the password and they asked for verification of this again. I felt stupid after this so I hung up and called EE and they said no calls like this are made by Orange/EE so it might have been scammer. I have since gotten my password changed. May 13, 2016, 6:59 pm Had a call on home phone that they are from T Mobile and they want to speak to someone. The name he said does not live with me nor do we use T Mobile. The man had a foreign accent but English was good. From reading comments about this number it seems it's an EE number but was definitely told they are from T Mobile. March 13, 2017, 9:36 pm I just received a call telling from 'EE' via this number. The representative told me that someone tried to log in to my account and try to order an Ipad pro. I confirmed it was not me. They said they would put a second password on my account to make it secure. I gave them a different password I have not used before. I am now trying to log in to EE and no 2nd password has been set yet. So I am a little concerned (although I have never luckily never before used the password I gave them).
