Did the same as I do with all scam calls, act dull, and string them along for as long as I can, then inform then of the fact that I am aware its a scam and have been wasting their time. I've already been burned by this scam (my time and trouble to reinstall clean Windows, after they'd taken control of my PC). I told her what I thought about criminals. I hung up straightaway. He then started asking why I didn't have a computer and told me I could get porn on it! June 14, 2014, 11:27 am Yesterday an asian sounding man called me three times saying I needed to answer questions about my data. On the third occasion I told him not to call me again as I wasn't prepared to discuss this with him. He got very aggressive & said I had to answer or else he would come round to my house and preceded to quote my address. I have contacted the police about this man and they are going to follow it up. My phone allows me to have call barring so I just bar all numbers which pester me. This, of course, does not apply to "International" numbers. Usually now I notice the number and just do not answer. If I accidentally pick it up and have the time, I just talk away about nothing - weather etc. What's it like where you are. October 18, 2014, 10:20 am We have just moved to France and got a call from this number on our French house number yesterday. I already knew about this scam as it was featured in Which! Magazine a few months ago. I challenged the lady immediately. I asked her how she got my details, and as we have 4 computers, some are tablets which was one was infected etc. she ran out of explanations after i repeatedly questioned her. In the end she hung up! They do something to your pc which does bring up error messages, it only affected my partners laptop. Which! Magazine has good tips to correct the errors. January 15, 2015, 1:54 pm I have had several calls from this company. They state they are Microsoft Support (Lie number 1) They state I have issues with my computer (lie number 2) After several of these calls I asked to be taken off their records. I then received the most abusive language from an Indian sounding gentleman using words such as 'M**th** F**k*** B**t**d and accusing me of wasting his time and an expensive phonecall (possible lie number 3). I asked if the phonecall was particularly expensive and the abuse started again. I listened for some time to make his call as expensive as he wanted to make it. Tying up his time I put the phone down and carried on working. His torrent of abuse continued for three minutes until I told him in urdu to go forth and multiply.
